Eric Coates is the President of Detailed Home Inspections Inc. and has been inspecting homes since 1997 under Home Inspector license #722. Eric is very actively involved in the Home Inspection community. He teaches continuing education courses for Home Inspectors and also teaches a course on how to Pass The Test for people preparing to take the home inspector licensing test. Eric is currently the Treasurer and Immediate Past President of the NC Licensed Home Inspector Association, as well as former Vice President and former President of the Triangle Chapter. In this state-wide leadership role, Eric is uniquely able to participate in policy and legal proceedings that affect the home inspection industry and the families and professionals it serves. Eric is also exposed to best practices and current issues from across North Carolina. He is able to put this leadership experience and working knowledge to use in his management of Detailed Home Inspections.
Eric and Detailed Home Inspections are proud to serve the Triangle and beyond, both as a dedicated home inspection organization and as an industry leader. Since 1997, Detailed Home Inspections has performed home inspections and framing/pre-drywall inspections in Raleigh, Cary, Apex, Holly Springs, Morrisville, Durham, Chapel Hill, Fuquay-Varina, Lillington, Garner, Clayton, Wake Forest, Smithfield, and the surrounding areas. DHI has cultivated professional relationships with trusted subcontracted professionals to conduct radon gas tests, septic inspections, termite inspections, and well inspections.
